Have you ever listened to a group that really left an impression with their their unique sound? Well, if you haven't, here is your chance with this brand new release from the Flint Cavaliers.  When you hear the Flint Cavaliers there is no doubt as to who you are listening to.  Though some group membership changes have taken place since the recording of this CD the sound still remains. 

When we talk about the Flint Cavaliers from Flint, Michigan many remember their breakout release entitled "Live In Concert" from 1998.  This project spent and amazing 52 weeks on Billboards charts, and propelled the group to national status.  After 5 years, it is obvious that this release was highly anticipated. This project represents the group's first recording with former Highway QC member Rev. Richard Bush handling most of the lead work.  Like their first national hit project in 1998, this project is definitely "Live" in ever sense of the word.  Not only is the group in rare form, but the audience can be heard praising God throughout each song.

The project begins in high gear with the foot stompin' number "Tell God" and continues to go higher with each track.  With such a great selection of songs, projects such as this are extremely challenging to review in that literally all the cuts are worth a mention. However, there are a few numbers that are a blessing each time I review them.  The first number that really jumps at you is the old time song "In The Room".  This song shows how the Cavaliers are able to put their own spin on even the most well known songs.  Other songs of note include the addictive "Hold Out", Bishop Craig Johnson's "Times Like These", and the serious drive number "Yes, He Will". 

Much like their 98' release this project also features an awesome choir that backs the group perfectly on several songs.  Under the direction of Minister Jeffery LaValley, the New Jerusalem Inspirational Voices and New Destiny Ensemble rock on the number "No Way", and  the amazing 10 minute finale "Because of You".  With such a great selection of gospel songs this project is sure to propel the group to even higher heights.
